The Machine Is Not the Package
Pullback tonnage and rotation torque dominate most used HDD rig listings, yet a bore is actually completed by the mud pump, drill rod, and the tooling that ties them together. A machine without a functioning fluid system is little more than a winch with a rotating joint. The package should be evaluated as a whole because the fluid system and drill string are what sustain the bore.
On GLOBMACH, the current inventory lists XZ2200, XZ360E and an XZ450-class unit, and each may be offered with a different mud pump and rod configuration. That is why package verification must be separate from the machine model. The machine's rated pullback is only one input; the pump's delivered flow and the rod's condition determine whether the bore can actually be executed.
What the Package Should Contain
A complete package typically includes the HDD rig, a mud pump, a mixing tank, a recycling system, a set of drill rods, subs, a swivel, a vise and a breakout wrench. Some packages also include an electronic locator or steering tools. The trick is not in the list but in the details, because a missing sub or a mismatched thread can stop work for days.
When a seller advertises a used HDD rig mud pump drill rod package, the buyer should ask for an explicit packing list. This list should identify each item by make, model, quantity and serial number where available. Without that, the phrase 'complete package' is just a label.
